Serious Illness Cover

Now as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Three comprehensive products

With advancements in modern medicine, people are much more likely to survive a serious illness. However, as a result, they’re more likely to suffer a recurrence or secondary illness. And as we live longer, we’re more exposed to illnesses in later life.

We've enhanced our award-winning Serious Illness Cover to provide a more modern form of protection.

Now available as three distinct products that retain the best of comprehensive cover, multiple claims and later life protection.

Our Dementia and FrailCare Cover

All our Serious Illness Cover plans include Dementia and FrailCare Cover conversion as standard – to protect your client's in later life and help cover rising care costs.

Once their Serious Illness Cover term ends, if there is any remaining cover left – it will be converted to Dementia and FrailCare Cover, as long as they continue to pay their premiums. They won’t need to answer any new health questions and can cancel at any time.

It works in the same way as our Serious Illness Cover. How much we pay is based on the severity of your client's condition. This means your client could receive further payouts should their condition get worse.

SIC vs CIC comparison tool

Unlike typical critical illness cover, our newly enhanced Serious Illness Cover pays out on a severity based approach.

Our cover is so different so comparing against other providers isn't always easy. That’s why we’ve created our Serious Illness vs. Critical Illness comparison tool.

Serious Illness Cover with Vitality

With Vitality’s Serious Illness Cover, your clients are more likely to get a payout than with typical critical illness cover. They’ll also be covered for more conditions than with other insurers*.

Serious Illness Cover

Now available on CIExpert

"Started in 2012, CIExpert is the most used site for advisers to compare CIC plans, current or historic. I anticipate Serious Illness Cover 3X being at - or towards - the top of the CIExpert table, with Serious Illness Cover 2X not far below that. This will reflect the quality of the plans.”
